Independent Inspections Overview

An independent inspection is a standalone asset assessment not tied to a rental dispatch or return. It is used for periodic checks, compliance audits, safety verifications, or ad-hoc condition assessments.

When it is used: Any time an inspection is required outside of a rental transaction, scheduled maintenance checks, safety audits, or compliance reviews.

Key characteristics:

• Not linked to a rental order, usually appears as an individual card without an order group header
• Same item types and fault recording as other inspection types
• Faults are recorded against the asset record in CloudERM

Status progression:

Pending → Partially Inspected → Completed

Badge: Indigo pill labeled "Inspection - Independent"
