Merging Categories
CloudERM allows merging same level categories, to improve asset categorization where required.
To merge a category into another same level category, head to the Categories/Templates Page -> Categories Tab. Right click on a category row to open the category's action menu and click on the Select for Merge option. This initiates the category merge flow.
Right click the second category you wish to merge into the first one, and click on the Add to merge bucket and initiate merge option. This opens up the Category Merge Popup.

The Category Merge Popup lists data fields from both categories side by side, and allows user to select the data field that will be used on the new merged category. user can alternatively provide a customized value for some data fields. Data values colored in green are ones that will be carried forward to the new merged category. Data values colored in red will not be part of the new merged category.
Once the New Merged Category is built to requirement and all data field merges resolved, click the Save & Close button to merge both categories. The merge operation will create a new merged category, and delete the two categories that were merged.
