Search Bar
Once logged in, you'll be greeted by a compact looking UI as seen below
The Top Navigation Bar features a Search Bar that allows for quick searches across the platform.
To trigger the search bar from anywhere in the project, press Ctrl + / (or Cmd + / on a Mac) or click on the search bar.
To perform a search, type at least three characters in the search bar. Results will be shown across the platform, and will be displayed in their respective categories.
When you click into the Search Bar, any existing text is automatically selected so you can immediately type a new query over it. Clearing the text (or dropping below three characters) clears the previous results.
Clicking on a search result will redirect you to the relevant information/record. Selecting a result also clears the search bar and closes the results dropdown, so it's empty and ready for a fresh search the next time you use it.
Results are grouped into categories, including a Purchase Orders category (shown with a cart icon). You can find a purchase order by typing its PO number. Each purchase order row shows the PO number and status (for example PO 1042 - Open), the vendor, and the parts on that order, so you can also find a purchase order by searching for a part that appears on it. Clicking a purchase order result opens that purchase order.
Part rows show the item number and name, followed by the part number when the part has one (for example [1001] Hydraulic Hose - HH-220), so you can tell similar parts apart at a glance.
To only search in a specific category, searches can be prefixed with the following shorts:

Example Search: c:: refrigeration
This search will only look for customers that include the word refrigeration in their records.
