Field Settings
The Asset Fields Settings govern the degree of importance a field has in asset creation and validation. Any field of data can have one of four field settings:
Require: Fields with the
requiresetting cannot be ignored on entity creation. Providing these fields is a must when creating a new asset within CloudERM.Validate: Fields with the
validatesetting are essential for business/organizational processes. While assets with missing or outdated data on validate fields can be created in CloudERM, these assets will be rendered invalid, and processes will be restricted for the asset until valid data is provided.Optional: Fields with the
optionalsetting can be ignored. Assets with missing/outdated data in these fields have no restrictions on creation and processes.Omit: Fields with
omitsetting are ignored by the software. These fields are not displayed on the software's UI and any past data in these fields is ignored.
Asset Fields can only have a default setting, and no custom settings.
To modify a field setting, simply click on the setting and select a new setting from the dropdown menu, then click on the Save Settings button to sync settings with the server.
